Tim Cordon hits the top five
Tim Cordon, Area Senior Vice President Middle East, Turkey and Africa, recognized as one of the most influential hoteliers in the Middle East.

Leading hospitality publication Hotelier Middle East has announced its Hotelier Power 50 list - and named our own Tim Cordon in the top five.

Every year, Hotelier Middle East publishes the Hotelier Power 50 list, which gathers the achievements of the most influential individuals in hospitality across the region. So, congratulations to Tim for not only being named on the list, but being ranked at number five out of 50.

It’s an even more impressive achievement when you think that Tim is a newcomer to the list, having only been appointed as the new Area Senior Vice President in November 2017.

The ranking is based on a number of key achievements - including expansion plans in the region, as well as company growth in the last 12 months. In this area, Tim has been particularly successful, driving our expansion in the region from 39 operating hotels in July 2017 to 50 in July 2018.

Hotelier Middle East has also taken into consideration our presence in Saudi Arabia, where we have 40 hotels and more than 10,000 rooms in operation or under development. It’s also a country where we’ve made great strides in our Balanced Leadership program, with the 150 female employees we now have in Saudi Arabia demonstrating a major and necessary improvement on the six we had in 2014.

Despite being immensely pleased with the ranking, for Tim, achievements like these are always a team effort. “The Hotelier Middle East ‘Hotelier Power 50’ ranking is a great accolade for the Area team and wonderful recognition for everyone’s efforts,” he said. “It’s also testament to some incredible achievements that we can proudly reflect upon, including 30 hotel openings in the last 18 months!”

Congratulations again to Tim and the Area team - your success is richly deserved.
