We are excited to announce that the Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta was able to take home two awards at this year’s Pyne Awards!
Mr Kayode Aina was won in the category of Hotel General Manager of the year, and Mr Mowaiye Bolorunduro won the award for Manager Human Resources of the Year.
Kayode Aina has over 25 years of experience in the industry, covering various roles in Finance and Operations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Troy University, Alabama, and an MBA from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, and began his career as a kitchen steward during his Bachelor studies. He also attended the hotels’ General Managers program at The Hotel School, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, and attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program in Financial Analysis. After graduation, he joined the Radisson Hotel Group in California, where he progressed from Assistant Financial Controller to Controller and Assistant Manager in just four years. After a few years at different hotel groups in the US, he returned home to Nigeria as General Manager of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, Abuja in 2010. Three years later, he made his way back to the Radisson Hotel Group and was appointed General Manager of the Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta.
Mr Mowaiye Bolorunduro has over fifteen years of experience in the industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree in Labour & Industrial Relations and is currently obtaining his MPhil/PHD in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources at Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
He joined the Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta, Nigeria in April 2015 as Human Resources manager, after 12 years in diverse roles in the Human Resources department of Eko Hotels & Suites Lagos, Nigeria.
